A-Bathroom Expert Tub Cove

We had a free initial consultation with Tub Cove to see what options were available to us in remodeling our bathroom. Jim was phenomenal. He arrived on time and then proceeded to do a thorough evaluation of our bathroom, and was honest in recommending that the remodel did not make sense for us given the shape of our bathroom. He also suggested some businesses we could reach out to for making updates to our flooring and countertops if we had a desire to update them.

Not only that, he took a look at our other bathroom and kitchen too at our request. He wasn't out to make money or hurry off to the next client, but instead wanted to ensure we were satisfied with the service.

All appointments were kept timely. All interactions with employees were courteous and professional. On the first day of the projected 2-day install the workers encountered a problem that could not have been discovered before they removed the old shower which they were replacing. The difficulty looked likely to lead to a three to five week delay. That delay would have caused many sequential problems.

The workers kept looking for a creative solution to avoid such an impact and were able to find a way to solve the problem. I understood that this required extra materials and time that was outside the original bid. I authorized the extra work and gladly paid the fair price the company requested for their efforts. The job got done, and done right, on the original timeline. I whole-heartedly recommend this company for their level of service and craft. This is a company staffed by friendly, competent professionals.

I replaced an old and ugly walk-in shower with a soaking tub/shower combo. There were a few bumps in the road that were no one's fault as there can be when remodeling. I was very pleased with how these issues were handled by the Tub Cove team. The focus was on finding the best solution for me, and resolving the issues quickly and easily. To resolve these unforeseen issues required two extra trips to my home, and this was done in as timely a fashion as I could have wished.

I was also very impressed with all the interactions that I had with the Tub Cove team on site. In addition to being knowledgeable and competent, all of the demo/installation team were very polite and considerate of me and my property, which I have not always found to be the case with other vendors in the past. They made the "fun" of remodeling as pleasant as possible in every way, and are much appreciated.

We moved into a 1970s home in desperate need of some updates and renovations, including replacing the entire bathtub, surround and fixtures in the guest bathroom. I got quotes from national brands like DaBella, Bathfitter and some local contractors. Tub Cove's products were far superior to the national brands at a much lower cost. And unlike contractors, TubCove will handle sourcing all the required products.

I had a pleasant experience with everyone I interacted with from Jim the owner, Matt the estimator, Jeremiah the project coordinator and the demo and install guys. 2 days in and out and left everything clean behind. There were some minor issues with the install that were quickly resolved. Highly recommend for bathtub upgrades!

Tub Cove has been a life saver! I have needed to replace the shower and tub in two bathrooms within three months. Jim and his team have great value, service, and reliability. Tub Cove is also an independent business - and a customer experience like no other. When the did demo on my tub and found previous work needed to be undone before the install, the owner Jim called me to see how to help - even though this is outside of their realm of responsibility. Wow!

I contracted Tub Cove to install a new bathtub, showhead, and toilet which were all done fantastically. There was an issue with the shower head holder that was handled quickly. There was one other minor issue where the toilet wasn't included in the contract even though it was agreed upon in the pricing. However, they still upheld the deal and installed my new toilet.

Hi out there, I just want to share my endorsement of Tub Cove. I picked them to have estimate because they support our local NPR station which is where I heard of them. I waited a month to do my review after the job was done just to make sure nothing unexpected popped up. In short, I had a fabulous experience with this company and the outcome of my shower /tub remodel exceeded my expectations.

From the first contact with Matt, who came personally to the house to take preliminary measurements and explain my options and prices, all the way to the fantastic finish guy who made sure I liked the finish product before he left, it was all positive. These people are extremely professional and seem to only want to be the best they can be. I got extra support from them when we discovered some dry rot under the tub I was replacing.

The result is a bomber rebuilt floor under the tub that will never be a concern again. I would do business with them again in a flash and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality job on bathroom updates or remodels. Jeff

I have used Tub Cove for over 20 years for my rental properties and they always come though with an awesome job. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and communicative. The work they do is outstanding and lasts a long time. New tubs and surrounds in the bathroom perks it up 100%. Stop looking any further and call Tub Cove (and I was not paid to say this!).

This is a shout out to Jose and Austin at Tub Cove who did an excellent job of removing my very deep tub tiled walls. The tub is too deep for a short person like me, so am having a walk-in shower installed hopefully by the end of this next week. When Austin and Jose were here, they worked steadily, as neatly as they could be when taking out a tub and the tile siding along the walls of the tub, etc. - they even swept up afterwards. I am impressed. Now, just waiting for my beautiful new walk in shower to be installed and will update this post when job is completed.

Their installers are great but the program managers (Lexi and Alexia) who handled the project were not clear on what would and would not be covered. When I first signed the contract with them I had a verbal agreement from them that they would include the shower fixtures into the cost of the contract itself. There was no place in the contract itself to specify who would be covering the cost of the fixtures themselves.

They were however clear that the cost of the faucets was not included in the price and was on me to cover. Due to this miscommunication they provided a verbal agreement that they would reimbursing the cost of the shower fixtures. However when it came time for the payment they mentioned because no contract was signed for it they would not honor reimbursement. At the end of the day this became a he said, she said disagreement which I did not feel like having over a $170 price difference.

No follow up. As simple as that. The salesperson came in, gave a quote, then I emailed her with questions. It took her almost a week to respond that she would ask someone, then vanished again. I am having someone else starting the job tomorrow

We had a tub installed in a cabin. We love the results! The quality is excellent. Beautiful beefy tub and walls. The whole experience was very positive. Choosing was not overwhelming and the installation was very smooth.

Jim and his team were exceptional! I needed a tub replaced in my rental property. Unfortunately, I don't live in the same state as my rental. I called Tub Cove and started working with Jim. He was extremely professional and went above and beyond to explain things over the phone. He also went the extra mile to do a thorough inspection of my existing tub and surroundings, checking for any possible leaks and water damage.

He even went the extra mile to walk down into my garage and check for possible water damage there. This was extremely helpful since I wasn't there in person. We were fit into the schedule within 2 weeks of our first conversion (and this was over the holidays, spanning across new years). The whole job only took 2 days. The teams that came in to do the replacement were professional and cleaned as they went. I would recommend Tub Cove 100% and would most definitely call on them again.

I had an appointment scheduled for 01/19/2021, 1pm, I called and confirmed and was informed that they are on the way. Took a day off from my job for this. They never came nor called me. I called several times, no one picked up the phone. I would not recommend this company. My time is as valuable as your time.

The work was done as agreed upon and the quality is satisfactory. From the time I paid half up front to the time the job was completed was over 2 months (mostly not their fault. Covid 19 shelter in place was 6 weeks of it) The top slide rail that originally was installed was bent. They pointed it out and ordered a new rail. I would hire them again for my next project.

The new receptionist Lizzy was very friendly and promptly scheduled a time for Tub Cove to come by. Jessie took care of what was needed and I recommend him for future work. Thanks!

This company was once reputable. NOT ANY MORE! The new owner & manager are flakey. They gave me a quote that included a wallboard install. 3 weeks after the quote I called and asked why no one has scheduled the wallboard installation as my cove install date was just a few days away. They told me they fired the scheduling person. I said I would just do the wallboard myself and please subtract the labor and materials from the total. Jeremie agreed.

As he hung up the phone I could hear him screaming profanities. I did the wallboard myself and the following monday the installer came and installed the cove. Now they tell me the quote never included the wallboard installation. He is a bold faced liar. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

They replaced my tub and did a decent job. The drain plug stopped working so I called to have someone come out. They scheduled me for a morning appointment, I stayed home from work to meet someone. About 20 min after my appointment was scheduled, I called to see where they were. They informed me that they won't come out to my area just to check the plug.?

Could you tell me that BEFORE I take the time off work? Like when you "schedule" said appointment.? Very annoyed. They said they would call if they have any work in my area. We'll see if that ever happens.

This company is absolutely not professional. They flake on appointments, Shelly is extremely rude on the phone, and they waste your time. Steer clear.

I can't recommend these folks enough. Every single person we dealt with, from Shelley on the phone to Dan (?) who came out and did the estimate, to the guys who did the work (1 guy on day 1 to do the tub, guy #2 the following day to do the surround and trim), were courteous, answered questions, and in the case of the guys who put in the tub and surround, very clean and took care to move furniture so they could get a tarp down and use that for a work space.

Our new house had an old "all in one" tub and surround insert that had cracks, and "bounced" as a result. We went with a new tub and Formica surround. Dozens of colors to choose from and Shelley helped make sure we picked the right white for the edging. (So many different whites!) Don't know how their prices compare to others, but this is the company to hire. Locally owned, not a franchise, which is also important to us. And our tub looks awesome!

I wish I could recommend this company as there are some kind folks who work there. Unfortunately, the person who did our installation did not do a good job and did not clean up after the job was done. When he came out to fix the failed laminate, he apologized for not cleaning up after himself. But then when he was done, he asked me if he'd cleaned to my satisfaction -- and argued with me when I pointed out the adhesive he'd dropped on the tub.

He then accused "somebody" (i.e., my husband or me) of sabotaging his original work. The work involved removing ceramic tile. Not cleaning up meant that there were shards of ceramic left throughout our bathroom, foyer, and down the hall of my building. This was a safety hazard. Since the mess followed him out to the parking lot, I had to clean after him so that it did not cause injury to my neighbors or result in me getting a fine from my homeowner's association.

While the product itself has been fixed and looks fine, I did not appreciate having to clean up after the worker or dealing with his unprofessional interactions--especially since I'd expressed reservations about having the same person come back to repair. I shared my concerns about the second visit and asked for consideration of my time in the final bill on 4/9/18. Shelley at TubCove agreed the behavior was unacceptable and that she would forward my concerns to the company owner in Arizona.

I have yet to receive a response but will update this review should I hear back. UPDATED: I changed my rating from 2 to 3 stars. TubCove's owner called me to apologize for the service we received from the installer. During our conversation, he said they talked with the installer who admitted to skipping "a critical step" in the installation, which resulted in the failure of the product. They refunded me $150.

Apartment Unit. Needed a cost-effective basic tub cove installed between tenants. TubCove was fantastic in scheduling around my departing tenant's needs. But the install exceeded fantastic. The 50 year old showerhead broke off behind the wall. The installer notified me, clearly explained our options, then was competent enough to affect the repair without shutting down the project. Left the space immaculate! Possibly some penny-cheaper options out there, but I've found my shower stall folk! Fully recommended!

They did great work. They were great communicators and clearly explained the project and process. They were on time on all 3 work days, even came back on a weekend to finish up. The guys were professional and cleaned up the project space each day. They weee not the least expensive quote but definitely worth a little extra for the simplicity and quality. Highly recommend.

We wanted to update our tub and shower surrounds to something more seamless (read: no annoying shower grout to clean) and also classic. We had two bathrooms done, and they did a great job filling in the existing footprint on each surround. In one of our bathrooms, the laminate needed to go over the ceiling, and in the other, it only needed to go up to the top of the wall. Tub Cove also updated our plumbing.

After they did the demolition work, they found CPVC plumbing. We knew this was a possibility and had already discussed having them update it to PEX on a time and materials basis. They installed the new plumbing the same day, and it didn't delay our bathroom completion. Our new tub footprint is slightly smaller than our old one, so they put a strip of marble flooring down to connect it to the existing tile flooring; we were a little concerned that this might look strange, but it actually looks natural. Overall, we're happy with how everything turned out. It took three weeks from when we first contacted Tub Cove to when our new tubs and surrounds were installed. Everyone we worked with was very friendly and professional.
