DFW Shower Shop replaced our old framed shower with a new frameless enclosure. The team was great. Their attention to detail and customer service was excellent

We hired DFW Shower Shop to remodel our Master BR, 9/2014. They left part of the ceiling unfinished where a floor to ceiling cabinet had been removed. They wanted to charge us $700 to spray "popcorn" and got into an argument over it. Fast forward 3 1/2 years, shower began to leak underneath. I called to have them come fix (didn't know who else to call, my plumber would touch it).

I was glad to hear there was a new owner (but soon learned it didn't make a difference). They came right out to inspect the issue. I was told by the Office Mgr/ Kara, no charge for labor since the job was covered by the 5 year labor warranty. They came and repaired. The guys that came out (Darrin and James) also said no charge for labor. I get the bill and see a charge for $225 for labor and $120 for a trip charge. WTH?

When I call to discuss with the Office Mgr/ Kara, I get serious attitude! I wasn't given a notice that I'd have to pay either fee. I was then told the warranty only covers them tearing out but doesn't cover replacing (so basically I had to pay half)! Then, when they were "finished", they say the customer is responsible for cleaning and sealing the tile! WTH?

I pointed out the silver screws they attached my bronze drain with, they tell me to use a sharpie to color them! WTH? Is this the service you would expect after paying $14K to remodel your master bathroom?

If I could give them 10 stars I would! If you need tile work the Shower Shop is the best. Local and excellent work. The crew was on time, professional and on schedule. I will use again!

Finally Finished! Beginning in August and finished in December! We found that the young man who started the job did a very good job on installing the shower, however, he had to leave for a different job before ours was completely finished. When the owner would come to help, the work was way below par. The last piece of caulking was sloppy and uneven, but I am not about to have them come back and redo it. It's safer to do it ourselves.

Shower install took forever and poor follow-up even when glass door shattered in our bathroom- no call to apologize or update on reorder. Actual installers were fine but manager/owners need lesson in basic customer service!

Joey came to my house to give an estimate and he told me I will have it in 5 days, after the fifth day call him, text him and sent several email but he never answer me. almost a month later I received a call from his office to set an appointment to pick the materials. If they provide that kind of service for an estimate I don't think they are the right people to do the job. NO TRUST

Everything started out well and they did a great job on the remodel of our bathroom. Once you give them the final payment, well, don't expect any service if you have any problems. They were very anxious to get that final payment but we had an issue with the faucet install in the shower. They came out very quick to fix that since that was when my husband gave them the final payment.

After a few months, the caulking around the shower floor was coming up. So, I called and spoke to Elaine. Seemed like everything was going to be fine. Gabriel was to call me. Well, Gabriel and I exchanged texts and then nothing. This was in November 2015. I would call they would act like they were going to come out and then, nothing. I even spoke to Cindy (owner's wife) and it sounded like i was going to get this resolved. But, then, again, nothing. Elaine called me back in February and told me there would be a $75.00 service fee for someone to come out. Needless to say, that was the first I had heard about a fee and that they obviously don't warranty their work.

I totally understand if it had been over a year, but it had only been 5-6 months when I first contacted them with the issue. So, once again we went back and forth. Gabriel was going to come out. Gabriel couldn't make it. Finally, we decided he would come out and recaulk on a Friday between 12-4. Well, at 5, I contacted him and the guy that was going to do it (not Gabriel) was delayed and could come out later. Unfortunately, after someone being at home until 4 that day as was arranged, there wasn't any way for us to be home late into the evening. So, no word from the Shower Shop since that last text exchange a week ago today (February 26, 2016).3months.really?

We recently updated our master bathroom (tub and shower). We decided to upgrade to the marble shower base and we are glad that we did. The work that they did on our bathroom transformed our bathroom and brought it out of its sad little existence. Our shower is beautiful! They were punctual and they completed the project quickly and as promised.

This is the third time I have hired the Shower Shop. They updated my guest bath, powder room and laundry room this time. The work was completed on time and I loved the final out come. I would hire them again for and out her updates to my home.

Our experience is very similar to Christi's experience below. I did not keep an exact timeline as she did.mhowever, I can tell you that I contacted them in July to install a frameless shower. It was completed in January! The shower is beautiful. They did not cover my bathroom with plastic. Since I was never certain when they were coming, I had left some plants in the bathroom. Well, needless to say, the plants and the bathroom were covered in dust which I had the privilege of cleaning several times.

The shower has been leaking at the bottom of the door. I called to get some ideas on how to reduce or stop the leaking. The response: "well it's a frameless shower. It's not guaranteed not to leak." I will NEVER use them again and hope that if you are reading these reviews you will take caution.

Maybe our little job was not big enough or important enough for The Shower Shop to care about. We were told by the salesman that it would be 4 weeks to installation. We were not told the 4 weeks would be until shower installation only and that the glass would not be ordered until after that. In total our tub to shower conversion took 4 months! It was 10 weeks before they started installation (NOT 4 weeks), 4 days until shower installation was completed, 3 more weeks until the glass was installed, and 2 more weeks before the final piece was installed and the job completed.

Half the total cost ($3,000+) was charged to our account 2 weeks after our order was placed -- 2 months before installation was started and 3 months before the shower was usable. The other half was charged 4 weeks before the shower was usable. They covered much of the room with plastic but the demolition still left a thick coat of dust all over the bathroom and adjoining bedroom, which they did not clean up.

Customer service was terrible. We would call the office to try to find out when something was going to happen and be told that an owner would call us back. When no one called we would call again and be told the same thing. This happened several times. Individually, the men who did the installations were professional and, finally, the shower is unable and looks great. The quote from the Shower Shop was much less than our quotes from other companies - all using Onyx materials. I guess you get what you pay for. Buyer beware.

Workers always late. Quality of work was not good. Had to have them out several times to fix things. We ended up having to fix stuff ourselves. Tried to explain that things weren't what we wanted but ended up hearing the same thing. Really didn't seem to want to work with us.

Sitting outside their office for my scheduled appointment that was 20 minutes ago. They cannot even show you to their own office at the time they scheduled and confirmed. Nor have they called me back. Guess I will take my business elsewhere. If they can't show up to do the consultation I hate to see what would happen when actual work is contracted.

If you need bad customer service, Joey is your man. If you need sub par work, Joey is your man. We had our master bath remodeled (we did demo) in our master bath. We installed our cabinets and the counter tops. Joey installed tub, frameless shower (and tiled it), two sinks w/ faucets, installed toilet and tiled the bathroom floor. Sound good? Well.the glass on the frameless shower doesn't line up when closing door.

The caulking around tub is not sealed. One of the sinks still drips. Oh did I mention the floor tile job? 4k to lay down less than 50 tiles.and WE bought the tile! Try getting someone to come out and do repairs under the warranty. We have called and called. We get the "someone will call you in 72 hours" response. No one ever calls. So again remember Joey for your next bathroom remodel job.

Made an appointment to get an estimate on my master bath shower. It was set for a Friday at 3pm. That Friday came and 3:30pm rolled around and no one showed up. I call and ask if the gentleman was just running behind. I get put on hold and when they returned they said they thought I cancelled. I said I have not talked to them since I made the appointment and was even left a reminder message on my answering machine a day or two before about my 3pm appt.

The gentleman on the phone says he doesn't know what happened but would call me back. He also said it might not be that day, but they would at least call me back first thing Monday morning. It is now Thursday the following week and I have gotten no phone call back nor any messages left on my phone to try and reschedule. I decided not to pursue them because if they cannot show up for an estimate OR even call me back when stated, then what happens during the job?

Would it ever get done? If it did, what if I wasn't satisfied with something or what if something was done incorrectly? Would they ever return my calls? Maybe they are so busy they can't take on anymore business.

We had the Shower Shop install granite countertops and time backsplash. It is absolutely gorgeous and Joey went above and beyond with the installation.

The Shower Shop out of Rowlett ,Tx did a fantastic job remodeling our master bath. We could not be more pleased. They also remodeled our second bath and our half bath. The last project we had them do was remodel our kitchen. They did an expert job and in a timely manner. Would recommend them over and over again.

One of the most important factors to me about The Shower Shop is that it is a family owned company. In my experience, family owned companies offer more of a personal touch especially with customer service and relating to your specific needs. The Shower Shop does just that!! I have known this family for many many years. I can't say enough good things about the Owners and their commitment to their customers.

I have had first hand experience watching them respond to customers' needs immediately. The Shower Shop offers high quality workmanship and most importantly fantastic customer service throughout the entire process. I would recommend them 100%.
