Rod at Ideal Tile is wonderful. Has been attentive to even the smallest of details, following up again and again to make sure we have what we need. And their selection is great. Highly recommend!

I purchased almost $2k of very nice tile from Ideal for a small bathroom remodel. Unfortunately, when the tile came in most of the tile had a scratch line down the middle. My contractor was very surprised at how it had been packaged (not Ideal's fault). I contacted Ideal and they had me bring it in to show them. Rod then arranged for replacement tile to be sent.

He was a pleasure to deal with during a stressful time. All in all, my takeaway from all this is that their selection is adequate, design help limited, and returns (if needed) are charged a freight free.

We had a fantastic experience from start to finish here. They installed beautiful countertops in our kitchen but also guided us through the process at every step. Their products and services are great, and the people are even nicer. We are going to bring them back to install backsplash as well, and have enjoyed browsing their hundreds of different tile options in the showroom. Couldn't have asked for a better experience and we are SO happy with how our kitchen turned out.

Horrible experience they promised that I could return surplus tile like the Tile Shop does. Just went there to return less then a week since my purchase. It would cost me moore to return then to keep. If the customer service design team was great I would overlook but that is also horrible. STAY AWAY

I am terrible at choosing the right materials for renovating, and I am so glad that I chose this store because the staff here insists that you look at a lot of options so that you make the right choice. In the end, I chose one that the staff recommended, and it looks perfect in my kitchen, even though I forgot to bring the samples with me. I told them the names of the cabinets and the counter tops, and they looked them up on the computer. I would recommend always shopping here and bringing your samples with you.

Sorry to hear about some bad experiences, but we had a great one. We are remodeling our kitchen and two bathrooms and we used Ideal Tile both times. Ali and his team are awesome. Ali gave us great suggestions that would fit in our design. He is very talented! Ideal tile has plenty of tiles to choose from. It is almost overmeling. Before buying your tiles, try Ideal tiles first.

We purchased kitchen backsplash tile from Ideal Tile when we did a full kitchen remodel. The tile ended up being the highlight of the kitchen. The owner took the time to walk us through a tremendous amount of options. It is well worth it to shop at a store with he expertise and patience you find at Ideal Tile with Ali and his wife.

This place was awesome and the sales person Ramy was very courteous and a very knowledgeable sales person. Great place to search for tile you can find any style, any size, and a plethora of patterns. It was truly the best tile place we have ever been to.

My husband and I recently sold our house and bought a house that is gorgeous but has a very 60s kitchen so we need to renovate that and the bathrooms. Ideal Tile was the only showroom open on Sunday in our area and so we decided to visit. We patiently waited for over 30 minutes while the sales associate was helping other customers. Once the couple finished and left, we started a conversation with him and he was very short when he told us they recommend customers make an appt to come in.

The website nor the phone message said anything about making an appointment. We didn't correct him and started asking questions about tiles, cabinets, etc and every step of the way he commented "but that might be pricey." He has no idea what our budget is because he didn't ask and he has no idea what money we are prepared to spend. He was very condescending throughout the 10 minute conversation.

We asked about certain tiles for a backslap and said there was a minimum and I had to ask what that was because he wasn't willing to tell us and then when my husband asked a question, he asked if we looked upstairs. Not once did he offer, "let me show you." It seemed he was rolling out the red carpet for the older couple before us but couldn't be bothered to help us. He didn't offer a business card, my husband had to ask for it. It was so infuriating, so they will certainly not be getting our business for our bathrooms and kitchen.

I purchased slate tile for my hearth that was suggested by the sales agent for my project. The tile had to be ordered. When it arrived at the store, I picked it up and brought it home for installation. BUT, it could not be installed because when we unpacked all the tile, the slate was flaking and crumbling and unusable (per my contractor). I contacted the owner of the store, explained the situation, and was informed the tile was special order and non-returnable/non-refundable.

The owner also claimed the flaking and crumbling was 'normal'. When I pressed him for defending a poor quality, unusable product, and not offering any concession, he was obnoxious and rude. It was a total waste of $600-- had to be thrown out. Upon the advice of my contractor (whom I should have consulted before ever visiting Ideal Tile), I went to Mosaic Tile (see my review) to start the process over. I will never ever ever visit or buy from this store again.

I had a most unfortunate experience with Ideal Tile. The parking lot where they are located is extremely congested, and when I arrived to pick up my 9-year-old son from a class at the neighboring business, the parking lot was at a stand still. Cars were lined up all along the front of the businesses and no one could get by. A yoga class in the same building had just let out and cars were trying to pull out and get by but no one could at that moment.

It was a total impasse. Someone pulled out of an Ideal Tile spot right in front of me and my only option was to pull into that space to allow cars to get past me. My son was going to be released from his class at any moment but he didn't have his coat and it was freezing outside and the parking lot was too dangerous for him to walk across alone so I ran inside with his coat to get him and walk him back safely to the car.

It took me less than 3 minutes, but when I got back a tow truck had pulled up behind me and was about to tow my car. I asked him to please stop and explained that I had just run in for a moment to collect my son (and explained the exact circumstances) but the tow truck driver said that unless I paid him $25 in cash he wouldn't release my car. I didn't have any cash with me (and again, it was freezing out and it was 6:00 at night so it was dark out ) but he said that unless I went to an ATM right that moment he was going to tow me.

I ended up having to run to an ATM across the street, which involved crossing 4 lanes of traffic in the freezing cold (I had to take my son back into the gym and leave him unsupervised while I did this). I later followed up with the manager of Ideal Tile and he informed me that he has a tow truck company on retainer and basically practices predatory towing.

I find this type of business practice reprehensible. This is a small community and while I understand he is looking out for his business, he is doing it at the expense of other businesses and the members of his community. I would never shop at this store.

I came in on a Sunday with an inquiry about tiles. The sales rep took my information and said he would call on Monday with the information. I called on Wednesday having not received a call. The sales rep that picked up told me the person who was helping me would call me back later that day. I never received a call. Terrible service. Go to Mosaic Tile Co. for tile or Total Floors Inc. in Alexandria for tiles and more. Do not go here.

We came in today to take a look at tile and get some inspirations for remodeling our two small bathrooms. We originally just thought at LEAST updating the tile would bring out bathroom into modern living standards. Figuring out what to do with the space has been very difficult, and the current set up just wasn't working. The set up wasn't bad- but it really wasn't the best use of space.

We found Ideal Tile and stopped in on a Sunday. I want to say first and foremost, when it comes to design- I am a difficult customer. I am picky, but I want to see multiple options. I am courteous and know what I like when I see it, but am not always the best at expressing it. Ali was able to easily help translate my needs into options. We came in and met with Ali.

He was very kind, considerate, and attentive. Clients can easily look around without a pressure, and Ali is quick to provide assistance when wanted by customers. That is a careful balance that a lot of places do not master. We spent a good bit of time in the store as we were doing our research, and Ali possessed a wealth of information on all aspects of our search. Ali offered to look at our bathroom space (we had drawings) and give recommendations for changing the placement of items in our bathroom for a better flow and use of space.

It was so kind of him to do, and he has immense design expertise. We discussed what we liked and about our priorities. Ali helped us to narrow down some options for both of our bathrooms and help us better estimate what the cost of all of the renovations would be including permits. This is our first bath remodel, and we know it can be expensive. He went above and beyond to give examples about how to effectively use the space, where it is better to spend your money versus other places, etc.

Ali R has so kindly reminded me to update my review. Two things: 1. Do not go here. Go to the Tile Shop. They have an amazing show room and service. Although we did appreciate the Tile Shop much more than we otherwise would have going there after we visited this place. 2. Ali, from the photo, it looks like you may have been the person who referred us to houzz.com. Maybe work on your store and service instead of trolling Yelp.

Exceptional customer service. I was on a deadline and they worked hard to ensure I got the tile I needed quickly enough to get the job done on time. I'm not sure they are the absolute cheapest, but I'm sure that if I paid a few extra dollars their customer service was worth it. I'll return for future tile needs.

Although some of the selection is good and interesting, the salesmen could not have been more apathetic and uninterested in helping in any way. It's a bad sign when a motivated buyer has to literally walk out because the seri e is so terrible. So I can't comment on the products because I couldn't buy them. Step it up Ideal Tile!

I'm a month into a nightmare bathroom renovation with an unscrupulous contractor. long story short - I was stuck driving around the DMV on a Saturday to find appropriate, complementary tile at the last minute. the guys at ideal didn't have what I needed on hand, but they were super helpful with advice and direction, even got on the phone with my unscrupulous contractor to put a scare into him. and then they sent me to the place where I found what I needed on the shelf. highly recommend. of course, I would also recommend going to them first, ordering ahead of time, getting recommendations on professionals, etc.

As of this date, damaged tiles have not replaced nor have I been reimbursed. An entire box of tiles were broken and a significant amount of 2 x 2 tiles were damaged. In my opinion, very poor customer and quality control. I can understand how tiles could be damaged in transit, however, I don't understand come the problem was not and has not been rectified.

I'm in the process of planning for a backsplash tile install in my kitchen. One of the tile contractors I've consulted with recommended I check out Ideal Tile and talk with Ali about potential ideas for my kitchen. I called ahead to make sure Ali would be in - and came in on a Saturday. Ali was very helpful. I showed him some pix of my kitchen on my iPad - and the kind of tile I was interested in.

He got out some graph paper and sketched out a few things - design considerations and suggestions. We also looked at some of the tile offerings they have that were similar to what I am looking for. Ali is friendly, helpful, and has a great sense of humor! If you need tile for your bathroom or kitchen, you should check out Ideal Tile!

I ordered tile from ideal tile which was supposed to be shipped to my home- I spent more than 25% of the tile cost on shipping (i.e. 220 cost of tile and 55 for shipping) and they never shipped to my house, they went to the store. When I called them back to schedule pick-up no one answered and there is no voicemail. Over 2 months I called about 6 times with no answer.

Since then I have changed my plan for the renovation and when I finally got a hold of someone they said that the tile was probably unreturnable because of the dyelot (which was standard to the store but apparently might not be standard to the wharehouse). Another thing to be aware of is you can only pick up your tiles on Mon-Friday. I would not purchase from this tile place again.

They have a decent selection of tile, but go elsewhere unless you have months to wait. Despite promising me a 10-day turnaround, it took more than a month for my tile to arrive. Each time I called, the staff acted like they had no responsibility for my deliveries, and "the warehouse" decided (apparently, randomly!) which tile made it onto the weekly truck. Their lack of customer service was appalling.

We've purchased tile at the Falls Church Ideal Tile several times for DIY tile jobs in our house, and we'll be going there again for our future tile needs. We have yet to find another shop that has such a huge selection, and we like the fact that we can wander around and check out all the samples without being rushed or pestered. And when we do need help with a selection, it's there for the asking. We've never used Ideal Tile for design or installation, but it's definitely a place we would recommend if you're looking for supplies to do your own tile.
