Refinishing's all we do, so we do it well. Over the years we've mastered our process so we can consistently get the best results for all our customers. I always dreamed of starting a business. In 1994, I decided that I needed to take the opportunity to do just that. Looking back, it made no sense since I had 4 young children, and 2 of them were in diapers.

Thankfully I have an incredible wife who knew that I would never be satisfied if I didn't at least try to live my dream. So.where to start? After looking at several business opportunities, I came across the concept of bathtub and tile refinishing.

Cole and Bill were very professional and did an outstanding tub refinish. Our old yellow tube with some stains is now a beautiful white. Thank you. Service: Bathtub refinishing

They are very responsive and do great work. Also, they honor their warranty and fixed a small problem immediately. I would recommend them and use them again. Also, they resurfaced countertops for me besides a tub and the countertops look as great today as when they were done initially. Service: Bathtub refinishing

The company was great to work with. They responded quickly and made scheduling easy. We changed our minds on sliding doors to a shower rod, which meant they had to come back and make a small repair that wouldn't have been necessary had we stuck to our initial plans. The quality and feel is way better than I expected. It doesn't feel like it was painted/refinished.

It looks like it's always been white, but really it was initially a super ugly brown color. Brandon and Aaron were the folks I worked with. They were awesome, friendly, and very helpful. Nice job!

We've had two bathtubs refinished by this company. No problems at all with the first tub. There have been problems with the second tub, but this experience is the reason for the five stars. We have had the company come out twice to repair the finish, once 2 years after the original application and the second four years after the original. Brandon came out the second time and explained that there was likely a problem with the original application.

I was satisfied with the explanation. So, while both the company and we would have preferred no problems, sometimes it's how the company responds that matters. Will use them again.

From the moment I called and employed their services everything was done professionally and smoothly. The worker sent out was courteous, efficient and professional. My tub looks fabulous!.and even when I called to have them caulk around the drain they readily did that with no hesitancy. Also, there's a five year warranty. I highly recommend Renew Resurface and I would use them again if needed.

I haven't seen the tub in person yet but from the pictures it looks great, the guy even scraped the old caulk from the shower doors off the tile, that was very helpful. I will use them again. Also put in a nonslip treatment in the tub.

Alanso did a terrific job. He was pleasant, explained the process, cleaned up afterwards and was efficient. We had a very small speck on one of the tubs that needed touch up. He came back within a few days and fixed it. Great service! Service: Bathtub resurfacing

After an appointment reschedule, which is understandable, tech came on time today. Good quality work, but I was not completely expecting the sheer amount of sanding dust all over my upstairs. Tub looks beautiful though! Service: Bathtub refinishing

I was going to replace both of my vanity bathroom sinks, but the plumber I hired told me not to because of the demo work that was involved, and told me to find a resurfacing co. The cost of the demo was in the thousands, and the re-surfacing option was better and much cheaper and my sinks look great, and i was given up front pricing and most companies don't even do that.

I had Surface Renew resurface my basic, average-sized bathtub. The day of the install everything seemed to go well with the technician being very diligent about putting up brown paper and clear plastic to protect my bathroom while he did the work. After several hours he was finished and the tub looked good. However, a year or so later the finish started to peel off so I called Surface Renew and spoke to the owner.

He was not very nice or receptive to my issue and immediately accused me of not properly maintaining the tub and said that was the reason the peeling had occurred. This was not true as I was extremely diligent in following the maintenance instructions they had provided me to the letter. It was therefore very off-putting and unfair that he would immediately blame me for the peeling without having any cause to do so.

He did, however, agree to honor the warranty and sent out another technician to do a re-spray. The owner said that this technician was one of his best so he should be able to do a quality job and get it right. This second technician arrived on the scheduled day and proceeded to tell me how fast he was at doing the work. I told him that quality was far more important to me than speed and that I wanted it done right this time.

After several hours he was finished and the tub looked good, but once again it began peeling after 1-2 years. So two failed installs from Surface Renew - - nothing to show for it but a lot of wasted time and money. No reason to call them again as I would likely get the same result. My reasonable conclusion is that Surface Renew technicians do not take the time to prep the bathtub surface as well as it needs to be prepped and the company emphasizes speed and quantity over quality. To their credit, they did honor their warranty but getting the same poor quality result from the warranty work performed does not make the situation any better.

I recently called Surfacerenew.net for a house we just bought to find out if they still covered the warranty from the previous owners for a few chips in the tile and shower coverage. The gentleman who called me- really quickly- said yes they did and they scheduled immediately. The technician who came out arrived early and did a great job- even though we inherited the warranty. Would totally work with them again!

HORRIBLE, DO NOT USE. Their material don't hold up well. I got my tub spray at the end of 2014, in 2015, I had them come out to do another complete respray (under warranty) because it started peeling. Just recently (2016) I had them come out again to do another respray because it started peeling again (warranty claim again). Their paint guys don't take their time to do the job, they come in and spray it super fast.

A lot of times there's issue of the paint running or not enough paint coverage. Then there's the clean up process, after they spray, they leave. Once the paint dries, then it's up to you to clean up. Also trying to schedule an appointment has been a very inconvenient process. You call up Doug and he'll put you on the calendar. Then on the day of the appointment, his guy would come and inspect, only to refer you to contact Doug again for another appointment. I had to take 2 days off in a 2 week period just to get my warranty done. This is becoming more like a DIY project.

I am so thrilled with my experience working with surface renew! Steve J. was on time, completed resurfacing my tub tile surround and all the wall tiles in the bathroom in a little less than 8 hours. He was very helpful answering my questions! And cleaning up the paper and tape that is 100% necessary for them to leave on for a couple hours afterwards is really not that big of a deal. I'm not sure what these other reviews are having issues with. I would highly, HIGHLY recommend them, and will definitely utilize them again if my next house needs it!

They have been here for 8 hours and have only managed to make a terrible mess. Still have not re enameled my tub. The person they sent out has no idea what they are doing because he's a "rookie" (per his Supervisor's words) AND was texting and taking personal calls on his phone several times. In addition, the sander broke (adding to why it's taking so long).

The Supervisor is making up excuses as to why it's taking so long (blaming it on my tubs existing enamel) and tried to throw the construction debris in my regular trash (City of Minneapolis does not allow that). When I asked the Supervisor to take the trash with him he said I know it's OK to do that. We only do this same exact thing 4 times a day, everyday in Minneapolis. I'm certain the City of Minneapolis would love to know that.

In addition, the Supervisor was very disrespectful to the new employee and was making borderline discriminatory comments (new employee is Asian). Really!?!?!? Yelp will not allow me to give lower than 1 star rating. Terrible experience! Oh and I get to clean up their mess!?!?!? Cannot think of a better use of the letters "WTF".

I chose Surface Renew to resurface (paint) my bathtub after seeing the beautiful job they did on a friend's tub. I knew that they actually had to return to my friend's place to re-do the whole process because their equipment had mal-functioned causing a terrible outcome. But once it was done over, it looked great. I was NOT IMPRESSED with the job they did on my tub.

They failed to tell me when I made the appointment that I would have to remove the tape myself and c aulk the tub. I think that should be part of the service! I was livid when I discovered that something got splashed all over my ceramic tiled floor leaving seemingly permanent discoloration in the form of drops and droplets, which I have not been able to remove.

The company rep returned to the next day to look at the tile. Granted, the spots are faint and can only be seen in the right light at specific angles so it was difficult to point this out to the rep and he could not "see" the spots (or perhaps didn't want to see the spots). He buffed the floor in an attempt to remove the spots. It appeared at the time that he took care of it but later after looking closer, the spots were still there. Also, the prepper had stuck the tape to a section of the tub instead of "up to the tub", which caused the paint to peel off during tape removal.

And I discovered several areas in and around the tub that felt rough. Maybe it is naive to think I would get a perfectly smooth tub surface like my friend got. The company rep did some touch up of the paint but I still did not get a completely smooth tub. (I am not referring to the anti-slip on the bottom surface of the tub, which is intended to be "bumpy". ) During the taping, the prepper wrapped up light fixtures and put the tape right on the glass and chrome where the fixture gets hot.

Of course the tape melted to it. It took me a while to remove the sticky tape residue from the fixture using Acetone. Just wondering. What will happen to the new surface if I ever have to re-caulk the tub? All the care instructions indicate that it is not a very durable surface. They advise not to leave any shampoo bottles, soap dishes, drops of water, etc. on the edges of the tub because it will cause it to wear prematurely (they don't tell you that until after the job is done). So, how would you scrape off caulk without damaging the finish?

The company rep told me that I should not have to re-caulk for many years. But I know that caulk is not permanent - it wears away eventually and needs to be replaced. I guess I can accept that the tub isn't as perfect as I expected but I am seriously upset about the spots embedded in my ceramic tile!
