I would highly recommend Two Poor Teachers. They recently completed a kitchen renovation at my home. They also made it super professional and perfect during our move in, our realtor was the one who recommended them to us. We hired this company to do two separate renovations for us recently. They did a master bathroom and then a large kitchen remodel. However, issues arose during the second renovation (kitchen). The work done during the renovations was mostly fine, but our issues were with the General Manager. He handled all communications regarding costs and the operational side of things.

Although the relationship started off fine, things boiled over at the end regarding a specific crew issue, and he handled it extremely unprofessionally. In his email response to us, his tone was extremely condescending and insulting AT BEST. At worst, it smacked of something else. We were interested in moving forward with another project in the near future, but because of how he spoke to us at the very end, we will never consider going back to them. I doubt the company even cares.

Two Poor Teachers remodeled our shower and we could not be happier. They were very reasonably priced. They were easily the most transparent contractor who estimated the work, both with estimates and with answering questions. We also appreciate how Jeremiah did not push unnecessarily changes, provided sensible design advice and saved us a lot of money by recommending more affordable tiles that looked exactly like what we want.

The work was executed in a timely and organized matter. The work was completed on schedule as estimated. The team was polite and cleaned up after themselves. Now we have a stunning shower! We also appreciated how Jeremiah gave us his contact information in case if there were any issues (and there were not) and how he showed up to check on the project himself.

When picking a contractor, we do not just want excellent work at a reasonable price, we want a trustworthy and transparent contractor who clearly cares about maintaining a stellar reputation and ensuring every single project is done right. Two Poor Teachers exhibited all these qualities. We strongly recommend them for bathroom and kitchen remodeling projects and we would gladly use them again ourselves.

We were able to see the work they did on a bathroom remodel in their home which made us confident in the work they do. Jeremiah was great to work with on the remodel of our bathroom. They were busy and we had to schedule out a bit but it was worth it. Plus I had to wait until my tile arrived so it worked out perfectly between our schedule. Long time customers of Two Poor Teachers, had a bathroom remodel done 11 years ago when we bought our home. This time we had them remodel our kitchen after starting to remodel our living room. As always it turned out great and we are happy with the outcome. Thank you again!

We had use many contractors for repairs and renovation over the years and many is just a big disappointment. Two poor teachers showed top notch professionalism right from our first meeting. Jeremiah was on time and had given us many options in renovating our kitchen and master bath without breaking the bank. Quote along with plans was sent to us in a timely manner and we were able to make a decision quickly.

They were able to start work rather quickly and crew that came was very well trained. Crew work fast but kept our furniture and personal belongings cleaned from debris and paint. Jeremiah is a very well organized manager. He kept us posted on the work progress and even when we had a delayed because the granite was not ready, the crew was able to continue working on other part of the renovation project.

We resurfaced our cabinets, put in new granite top, faucet and sink, new kitchen floor tiles and fresh paint throughout the whole house. We also replaced our master bath vanity, mirror, light fixtures, toilet and re-tiled the whole bath. They took out the tub and tile a brand new standing shower as well. (Wife absolutely love the new standing shower with high pressure shower faucet) We also had wood flooring installed in our living room and dining room.

The finish work was so amazing and high quality, it made our house looks like a million dollar home. If we had the money, we would have renovated the whole house. Definitely worth giving them a try for your next home renovations.

A neighbor in my condo unit referred me to TPT as she was happy with her bathroom remodel. I worked with Jeremiah to get a quote and schedule a start date. The job was done a day or two in advance, the crew was professional and prompt. Overall, I'm very happy with work performed and the value for my money. The communication was clear and prompt and the billing/itemizing for each task was very transparent, I didn't feel like numbers were getting pulled out of thin air like with other contractors. Give them a shot, they won't let you down!

They remodeled two bathrooms for us. The master bath required the removal of a non-load bearing wall and a bathtub was converted to a shower. The other bathroom was just a simple "pull and replace" of an existing tub, toilet and vanity. The most important thing is the started on time and finished a few days early. We are also pleased with the quality of work.

Simply removing a star because the shower door they installed was not the same as the picture they provided and the decorative listello tile we selected for the master bathroom ended up being unavailable. Understand things get discontinued, but still disappointed because we thought we had picked out the perfect combination of colors and couldn't get it. Overall happy with the service they provided. They were easy to work with and we would consider using them again in the future.

Two PoorTeachers came to hour rental home in Arlington and gave us an estimate to remodel our rental home. We had neglected both bathrooms for years :(... Jeff Pregman the general Manager came by with a Mobile Showroom and he gave us a firm estimate and within less than 1 hr we had picked everything out from inside the showroom which was parked in front of the house!!

In October, they put us on the schedule for two weeks. Jeff called us up a week earlier and said that he could probably finish both bathrooms in a week if we could have two crews working simultaneously. We agreed and the work commenced on time. We could not believe the attention to detail, communication from Stu their project manager and how great the entire project came together. We would highly recommend them and told them we would try and get the word out as best as we could.... What a great company!

Ken came out with a beautiful showroom which looked like a RV on steriods. We picked out everything within an hour (Unbelievable seeing thaT tour last bathroom remodel we had done took us over a week just to pick out the materials! and we picked out some wrong items. The last guys took 4 times as long and was hard to get a hold of) He designed the entire project in their mobile showroom.

The crew came in on schedule and completed our project ahead of schedule. The price was very good as we paid 7800 for everything and we didn't have to run around to different places looking for materials. We couldn't be happier:) We learned the difference between having an employee run company do the work rather than several sub contractors coming and going as they pleased.
