Great experience with the cabinet designer Carol. Her general manner, experience, eye for detail and efficiency shone through during the entire process. She was very personable and efficient with our time and offered insight when it was needed. She offered very practical advise and always had time to demonstrate her ideas which really helped solidify the vision.

Extremely happy with the entire process. Cabinets were just installed and look fantastic! They look very sharp and very well made. Delivered on time and budget. Couldn't be happier! 10/10.

Bought cabinets several years ago. They did not wear well. Hinge issues, split doors and peeling finish. Consider your purchase the 5 year option.

2nd time getting cabinets done here. This time not so impressed. We were originally going to go with maple cabinets but we wanted something that had a little more grain in it. The sales person we had suggested using alder, she even said they could do it for the same price as the maple (no kidding). We liked the look of it so we decided to go with the alder.

Not knowing much about wood we should have done some research but we felt confident in their advice and in what we'd be getting since we had them do cabinets for us before. Well we were really surprised to find out how soft this wood is, it's really junk. Our cabinets are under 2 years old and we'd like to rip them all out and start over. It is so easy to ding this stuff it's ridiculous.

After the fact we did do the research and found that a lot of contractors use alder when they want to do it "cheap". Many of them consider it to be a "garbage wood". We feel like we were intentionally mislead since it's not even comparable to the quality of maple, not even considering cost. Even if you don't know much about wood, you trust in a place to explain all the differences, that's the reason for going in and talking with the sales people to begin with.

In this case, when it comes to a wood that is this soft it should have been the first thing to point out. It wasn't even mentioned. This one thing will keep me from recommending Valley Cabinet to anyone ever again like I always had in the past. Something has changed there in the last 10 years and it's not for the better.

They have beautiful cabinets. I enjoy features like pull out trash bins and a large corner cabinet with spinning storage shelves for canned goods.
